Company Sergeant Major Pang feb 2004

Aged 17

After ds'sing the last annual for 4 star and fieldcraft cadre, i went even further than i thought, on Feb 2004 i went for  my interveiw up at Blackheath and got promoted. This promotion was anticipated as i was wanting to go for RSM and i knew that i would stand a better chance as a W02, and the waiting was over. This following year i hoped to give back to the NCOS as i DS many cpl and sgts cadres, and the odd BTEC courses.

Below was me 1 year after my 4 star, and i havent yet obtained a picture of my 4 star so i retook one with me holding the shield. This is now a memorable picture as its the unit that will be knocked down in september.

St Patricks Day this year

What holds in the future, only time will tell

Below is a sad thing i did to proove 104 and my name.

Promoted to Cadet RSM on Penhale Annual Camp 2004,my 1st mission is complete. Latest Picture of RSM PANG

Well heres the debrief of what i acheived, I always had the goal and i never stopped running towards it. I always thought to give up because i might be behind, or at a disadvantage but many wise words came from all directions in getting me to get my head down and getting on with it.

I went on the annual thinking nothing more than what to say in my RSM interview, even getting to go into the interview was a acheivement itself. But it wasnt all, i carried on being attached to the pre scic and then floated around helping around 7 , 9, and 10 regiment for the following week.  I have never actualy realy celebrated on camp of my promotion as i seem to be gobsmacked, or i now just see it as a job. The job of the RSM is what im finding out now, and doing my best to the end. Hopefully in a years time i would of done a good job.
